CREW New Mexico was a proud co-host for the 2nd annual Intersections commercial real estate event held on October 25th. CARNM, CREW, CCIM, SIOR, IREM, BOMA and ULI came together to present a day filled with information, fun, networking and valuable tools and data we can all use in our daily lives. Glenn Mueller showed us his research data and where Albuquerque currently stands in the real estate economic cycle. He gathers data on many real estate markets throughout the country and closely follows the trends and cycles within the various real estate types. Debra Fine discussed the art of conversation and how to ask open ended questions, get out of uncomfortable situations, and find common ground with other people. Jay Olshonski, the President of NAI Global talked to us about the changes he is seeing in commercial real estate and strategies to keep up with those changes. Julie Benezet talked about leadership and the importance of perspective on any situation, and Amy Korte talked to us about the latest in driverless cars and the research and planning taking place in bigger markets like Boston to prepare for these changes to come in the future. Many CREW New Mexico members attended the event and the chapter was proud to be involved in the implementation of a resource for anyone involved in commercial real estate locally and beyond.
