CREW Past President and volunteer extraordinaire member Debbie Dupes was recently awarded the 2018 Commercial Association of REALTORS® New Mexico’s (CARNM) President’s Award as well as the CARNM REALTOR® of the Year Award. These awards are incredibly fitting given the recent success of the second annual Intersections event which Debbie founded in 2017. Debbie’s strong drive, helpful nature, and passion for commercial real estate never cease to amaze CREW New Mexico members. The President’s Award was established in 2015. It is given at the discretion of the CARNM President to honor an individual member who has gone above and beyond in their contributions to the industry. In announcing her President’s Award, CARNM recognized Debbie as follows: “Debbie Dupes, CCIM: For your vision, dedication, volunteer service, and outstanding leadership in creating the exceptional event that we now recognize as Intersections. You brought together 7 commercial real estate organizations to host this event which fosters professionalism and offers an exceptional educational experience. As a Commercial REALTOR®, you represent the best interests of the Commercial Association of REALTORS® New Mexico and its membership as a Commercial REALTOR®, the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico, the National Association of REALTORS®, and the CCIM Institute.”
The CARNM REALTOR® of the Year Award is meant for those members who choose to support CARNM, the commercial real estate industry, and the community in ways that are considered extraordinary. The CARNM REALTOR® of the Year Award reflects the highest form of recognition for personal and professional achievement by a member of CARNM. Nominations are submitted by CARNM members and the awardee is chosen by the past recipients of the award without input or knowledge of any other individuals. The unveiling of the award winner is the culmination of the CARNM Annual Meeting and is a highly anticipated event. Debbie is the first CARNM member to receive both the President’s Award and the REALTOR® of the Year Award---making her recognition all the more significant.
